5 Things I Learned After 5 Minutes On Medium

Yup, just five minutes.

I was sitting on my couch one Tuesday evening after enjoying a meal and watching the latest episode of the Bachelor. As any female millennial would. I switched over to YouTube and landed on a channel by Shelby Church. She was explaining her year-end earnings from youTube and included Medium in her description. My mind was instantly blown. You mean I could make MONEY from the years of blog posts I have stored up on my blog and in my head? Cool cool cool. Let me grab my laptop.

Here’s what I learned:

1. Tech sells.
2. Twitter isn’t dead.
3. Medium is untapped by the influencer/lifestyle blogger industry. (Why is that?).
4. Publications can be hard to find and are daunting to submit to.
5. I am not as creative as I thought.

Here’s to this daunting and thrilling journey. I’m intrigued, to say the least.
